Spare Time Entertainment Center has been a landmark in the Lansing community since the 1950s. Originally a golf course, it became the iconic Holiday Lanes in 1962, with 40 bowling lanes that quickly made it a go-to spot for fun and relaxation in the heart of the growing Frandor district. For generations, it was the place to meet, unwind, and enjoy a night out.

In 2012, a new chapter began when Holiday Lanes was sold and reimagined as Spare Time Entertainment Center. This marked the beginning of an extraordinary transformation. The number of lanes was reduced to 32, making way for a fresh, more dynamic space filled with exciting new attractions. A stylish, boutique bowling area was added, offering a more intimate and upscale experience for guests. The venue was further elevated with the introduction of a modern arcade, a private event space, and an elegant banquet and meeting room. The restaurant and bar were completely revamped from the ground up to create a vibrant, contemporary atmosphere that enhances every visit.

Today, Spare Time is more than just a bowling alley—it’s a thriving social hub, known for hosting community fundraisers, parties, and celebrations of all kinds.

As part of our ongoing commitment to innovation, we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of a cutting-edge mini golf course, set to open in Summer 2024. At Spare Time, we are dedicated to providing the latest in entertainment, ensuring that every guest enjoys a truly exceptional experience.
